Job Duties:

Harvest brussel sprouts - cutting manually with hands, throwing into bucket and walk 5-10 feet to drop into harvesting machine conveyor belt that takes it into hopper. Hopper releases the sprouts into a sorting table where some workers will sort and pick for quality control. Sorted vegetables go to automatic sizing table and another worker dumps 30 lb box and replaces with empty box. May stack pallets weighing 40-45 lbs. May perform seasonal intense strawberry bed cleaning: In strawberry rows, cutting with shears the runners (foliage), dead leaves, over ripen fruit; Going up and down rows. Hand weeding. For weeding activities, Employer will provide workers 5 minutes additional rest time every 4 hours worked and workers will be provided gloves, knee pads and training in prevention of work-related injuries. May be offered the job of "driver" for shuttling workers to and from work and also weekly runs to town. Workers with driving duties will be paid the minimum hourly wage rate offered in this job order for their time driving.

Work Schedule: May be required to work on Saturdays up to five hours. Additional non-compulsory work may be offered, including on holidays. Production Requirement: 155 linear feet per hour after 3 days break in period; 10 buckets per hour of brussel sprouts. See Addendum C.
