Job Duties:

Job duties will include receiving and shipping grain for the elevator, preparing scale and shipping tickets, monitoring grain moisture and quality using a grain moisture meter and probe, removing grain from the elevator, shoveling and sweeping excess grain that is not capable of being removed by mechanical equipment, performing housekeeping duties to ensure that the storage locations are maintained, operating semi-trucks to transport grain, operating other storage/drying equipment, and operating tractors and grain carts on the elevator lot. The applicant/employee must be capable of climbing vertical grain legs. The applicant/employee may be required to weld, cut, dry, and sand materials for the maintenance of the elevator facility. Applicant must have, or be able to obtain, a drivers license. Basic literacy and math skills are required. Increase or bonus may be possible depending on experience and merit.

Special Requirements:

Applicant must have, or be able to obtain, a drivers license. Drug testing will be done to after hire ensure the safety of the employees and public when operating large farm equipment, since farm equipment will be operated on public roads. Applicant/employee must be able to lift 75 lbs.
