- Job Duties:
- Assist with calving cows and heifers; assist calves' immune system by administering vaccinations and medicine, treating with antibiotics, providing colostrum within 6 hours of birth; record calving dates and calf weights, ear tag and number calves at birth; use equipment to move hay for feeding cows and heifers to build animal health and strength in preparation for calving; break ice in frozen water troughs, repair frozen and/or broken lines; move cows to pasture as forage begins to grow, move yearlings to market to be sold.
