- Job Duties:
- We need workers to help with our new bee operation to perform the following standard beekeeping duties including but not limited to: Managing bee colonies, assembling beehives, operating forklifts, harvesting and extracting honey. Must be able to work with bees in all stages egg, pupae, larvae, worker bee, drone, young queen and grown queens. Must inspect, repair, clean, feed, split & treat for disease as well as raise new queen bees. Must treat for various diseases and pests. Must maintain beehives clean and in good conditions. Take care of personal work equipment provided by the employer to perform duties. Job requires at least three months work experience. Other job duties include planting and caring for trees, shrubs, and vegetations that will be sold as nursery merchandise and help with production of honey in our beekeeping business. Worker should be comfortable with physical labor in various weather conditions and be able to lift up to 50-60 lbs repeatedly. Must have no fear of bees and be non-allergic to bee stings, pollen, honey or other products of the hive. Daily or weekly work schedule may vary due to weather, crop conditions, temperature, and/or any other factors. Workers may volunteer to work additional hours when work is available. Workers compensation will be in place for the period of work.

- Special Requirements:
- Three months of verifiable previous experience working on a honeybee farm handling both manual and machine tasks associated with beekeeping. Must be familiar with farm work. Must be able to lift/carry 70 lbs. No fear of bees. Workers must have a valid license or be able to obtain a driver license within 30 days following hire. Workers must have no fear of bees and be non-allergic to bee stings, pollen, honey or other products of the hive.
