- Job Duties:
- Performs job duties related to bedding plants, ferns, fruit trees, vegetables, herbs etc. Bedding plants: prepare soil/growth media, fill pots, pot/re-pot, and transplant; prepare cold frames, hot beds; work on potting line (transplant seedlings/move to growing area), prepare baskets. Plant care--water, weed, prune, mulch, fertilize. Field work (outside): cultivate, condition soil (haul/spread topsoil/additives, mulch, rake,), transfer plants, irrigate, spray, weed, etc. Market preparation: tie, bunch, wrap, price, tag; select/pack products to fill orders, move/stack stock to storage areas. Miscellaneous duties: dig ditches, clean/repair fence/fence rows. Worksite maintenance: clean/repair—pots, tools/equipment, nursery/greenhouse/work areas, mow grass, grounds’ keeping, put on/remove plastic from cold frame houses. Load/unload trucks--50 lb. bags, equipment, products, etc. Load/unload trucks. Clean work areas and maintain grounds—pick up trash, clean and store equipment etc.

- Able to drive tractor. Able to operate equipmentweed eaters, mowers. Use hand toolsshovels, hoes. Work outside in various weather conditions (100 degree temp., light rain). Able to perform physically demanding job duties (standing/stooping, bending for long periods), Must be available for entire contract period and able to perform all job duties. Hours of work may vary due to weather conditions and job duties. Applicants meeting all qualifications required must possess documents to complete INS Form I-9 and be available at time and place necessary to begin employment. "In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire."
