- Job Duties:
- Workers will cut away dead and excess branches from fruit trees using handsaws, pruning tools, and shears. May apply healing compound to pruning wounds. Apply or remove tree guards, may plant and fertilize trees. Workers may build trellises to support newly planted trees. Workers will monitor for disease and pets, may spray trees with approved pesticides. Workers may harvest and sort apples and prepare them on site for sale. Workers may build fencing around orchard. Workers may also raise, harvest and prepare onsite for sale tomatoes and other seasonal crops. Workers may also perform maintenance, repair and improvement of farm land, buildings and equipment.
