- Job Duties:
- The job specifications involve skilled farm labor for the purpose of preparing land, raising sweet potatoes and potato plants, growing, irrigating, and harvesting sweet potatoes and potatoes for a commercial farm. Workers will be performing and be required to have experience operating and maintaining equipment. This includes tractors, planters, harvesters, disks, chisel plows, diking soil, rolling rows, forming crop rows, using 8 row equipment. They will also need experience transplanting sweet potato slips into fields. Workers will need to be able to drive a vehicle to and from fields. Full time supervision is provided and all tools are provided at no cost. 12 months experience needed. Workers must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and work in extreme temperatures. Lifting objects up to 50 lbs., bending, twisting, and stooping regularly will be required.
