Job Duties:
Temporary, seasonal farm worker needed from 02/01/22 - 11/30/22 to perform a variety of farm duties related to tending to live farm animals like cattle. 7:00 am to 5:00 pm (Monday through Friday); General farm work will include the following responsibilities: attending to cows and feeding, watering, letting out to pasture, managing weight and nutrition; maintain, drive, attach, and operate farm implements, tractors, equipment to till soil, plant, cultivate, fertilize, and harvest crops and/or to attend to cows as needed; make minor mechanical adjustments and repairs on farm machinery; remove undesirable and excess growth from crops or farm grounds for best use for cattle; remove rocks from field; paint/repair/maintain farm structures; replace/repair fencing; perform general cleanup and maintenance of farm areas (to include mowing and other yard maintenance) so as to keep suitable for cattle. Maintain appropriate cattle records, care for the livestock for purposes of health and wellness. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, walk, stoop, bend, reach, sit, and kneel repetitively for long periods. Work is to be completed in all weather conditions from extreme heat to rain and extreme cold. Once hired, the worker may be required to submit to a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. Feeding and working cattle, mending fences, planting grasses, harvesting hay, shredding pastures.
