The Department of Labor recently announced new minimum wage rates, called Adverse Effect Wage Rates (AEWRs), that employers must offer and pay, at the time work is performed, to nonimmigrant H-2A workers and workers in corresponding employment beginning on the effective date of the new wage rates. Job Duties:
Job duties include the operation of equipment for pasture cutting, pasture spraying, fence repairs, and some work with livestock. Employees will operate tractors, feed truck, feed wagon, 4-wheeler/off-road vehicle, and cattle hauling truck/trailer. The employer will buy the cattle in early summer and needs employees for fence building, fence repairs, and handling cattle. Employees must have 3 months of experience, have or be able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire, and must have basic literacy, reading, and math skills. Increase or bonus may be possible depending on experience and merit.
