Worker will transfer the loaded stick from ground to wagon or trailer and load sticks on the wagon or trailer in an orderly fashion. The tobacco is placed on a bench in the stripping room where the workers will remove the leaves from each stalk. In the stripping room there will be at least 4 large metal rings that are about 2 feet deep and covered with large canvas type sheets. The worker stands in this ring and removes the leaves according to the grade of tobacco he is pulling and then passes the stalk to the next person who removes the leaves he is grading and so on until the leaves are all pulled from the stalk. The leaves the worker is pulling will be dropped in the ring in which he/she is standing. As he/she pulls the leaves he is tamping the leaves down with his feet and when the ring is full a worker will pull the corners of the sheet together and remove from ring and place another sheet in the ring, and the tobacco leaves in bailing machine.
