Job Duties:

We are a small grain, and oilseed farm. Job duties may include but are not limited to: Loading inputs and driving trucks to transport to fields, loading crops and driving trucks to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags; field cultivation, rock picking; swathing, harvesting of crops; assisting in the prep work for spraying (water, retrieving anhydrous tanks, getting more chemical or fertilizer); moving equipment; chisel plow, superculter, bean roller, grain cart, among other equipment operation; reading equipment for the day's work; ride transfers; seeding; participating in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops such as working with bins and augers to load carts and trailers; repairing and maintaining farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; operating tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops; cleaning work areas and maintaining grounds and landscaping; maintaining inventory; hauling and spreading topsoil, fertilizer, and other materials to condition soil; attaching implements using hand tools; guiding products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines, discard rotten items.
