- Job Duties:
- Job duties include crawfishing in boats, catching crawfish, performing crawfishing duties in fields; manually cutting fish bait, harvesting crawfish bait, re-bait, cut up bait, repair/maintain traps, etc.; loading and unloading crawfish sacks; prepare ponds; minor maintenance/operation of farm equipment. Prepare land for rice crop; Harvest rice crop and help dry and store rice in grain bins. Must be able to climb, walk, bend, etc., for long periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry sufficient weight to lift, carry and move equipment, crawfish/rice sacks, and material necessary to complete assigned tasks. The Employer will rely on workers’ own representations and observations of workers to assess if the workers meet this qualification. Once hired, worker may be required to submit to a random drug test at no cost to worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. Base hours offered is 40 hours offered; overtime hours are usually offered during plentiful season and may include an additional 10-40 hours of overtime work depending on the nature of the season; higher wage may be paid based on experience.
