- The job of a wildlife capture helicopter pilot is extremely specialized. Job duties are flying a helicopter for helicopter net gun capture, chemical capture, coral capture, telemetry tracking and predator depredation. The job is contingent on weather.

- A helicopter pilot license is required. Helicopter wildlife capture is a highly specialized and dangerous form of helicopter flight. The pilot must have a thorough knowledge of how to read and understand wildlife and must have worked with numerous species of wildlife in their various habitats. The pilots flying ability has to be of a very high standard due to the concentration needed. The safety of the pilot and the crew is of paramount importance due to the extreme flying conditions. The job is also contingent on weather.
