- Job Duties:
- Deploy, retrieve, and untangle fishing lines/longlines. Must be able to lift weighted lines and fish tubs that weigh up to 85 pounds. Routine maintenance of fishing gear including repair of hooks, lines and buoys as well as rope splicing and knot tie technique required. Fisherman will be capable of standard seamanship and marine safety procedures. All work is conducted of the California coast in the open sea aboard a 58-foot fishing vessel. Actual daily employment start and end times may vary, depending on weather conditions that affect crew safety.

- REQUIRES KNOWLEDGE OF COMMERCIAL FISHING TECHNIQUE. MUST BE ABLE TO CONTINUOUSLY LIFT 85-POUND FISHING TUBS THROUGH THE WORK DAY. REQUIRES KNOWLEDGE OF ROPE SPLICING AND KNOTTING TECHNIQUES, MAINTENANCE OF COMMERCIAL FISHING HARDWARE, REPAIR OF HOOKS, LINES, AND BUOYS.
