Job Duties:

Lead Cashiers will be responsible for receiving and disbursing money, using electronic scanners, cash registers, or related equipment, processing credit or debit card transactions and validating checks, replacing required products such as utensils, condiments, drinks, and cups as needed, calculating total payments received during a time period and reconciling this with total sales, keeping periodic balance sheets of amounts and numbers of transactions, computing and recording totals of transactions, monitoring checkout stations to ensure that they have adequate cash available and that they are staffed appropriately, and providing coordination, guidance, and on-the-job training for other cashiers.
