Job Duties:

Mix cement and prepare for spreading. Prepare pool surfaces using hatchets, hammers, chisels, broom etc. Will apply cement and coping to pool surfaces. Smooth surfaces after application and clean-up site. Set the forms that hold the concrete and gunite to the desired pitch and depth, including alignment. Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete and gunite, including floors and swimming pools using a variety of hand and power tools. Spread, level, and smooth concrete, using rake, shovel, hand, or power trowel. Mold expansion joints and edges, using edging tools and jointers. Wet pool surface to prepare for bonding, fill holes and cracks with grout or gunite and smooth, using trowel. Mix cement, sand, and water to produce concrete, grout, gunite, using hoe, trowel, scraper, or concrete-mixing machine. Chip, scrape, and grind high spots, ridges to finish concrete and gunite, using such chisels, power grinders, or hand tools. We concrete or gunite surface and rub with stone to smooth surface and obtain specified finish. Apply muriatic acid to clean gunite surfaces, including rinsing with water.
