Job Duties:

Attends cattle on range or pasture: Herds and rounds up strays by horseback. Beds down herd near evening campsite. Guards cattle from predatory animals and from grazing hazards. Drenches cattle. May examine animals for signs of illness and administer vaccines, medications and insecticides according to instructions. May assist in vaccinating and medicating. The work activities involve the herding or production of cattle. Must have 3 months experience with 500-800 head herds. More than 90% of work will be performed on the range. ***Hours worked footnote: On call for up to 24 hours 7 days a week***
