Job Duties:

Duties include but are not limited to the following: Examine equipment to locate and diagnose malfunctions. Dismantle defective parts. Reassemble machines and equipment following repair, testing operation, and making adjustments, as necessary. Clean and lubricate parts. Test and replace electrical components. Tune or overhaul engines. Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance. Test mechanical equipment to ensure proper functioning & other related Farm Equipment Mechanic activities as per SOC/OES 49-3041 (onetonline.org). 30-minute lunch break offered; 2 15-minute breaks offered Possible weekend/holiday work. Overtime Pay: As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. ESST (Earned Sick and Safe Time) Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.

Special Requirements:

Must be 18 years of age. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Static strength: exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 50lbs; may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified. Based on Employer's discretion/cost: Worker may have random drug/alcohol testing during employment: positive test/refusal to abide = dismissal. Variable weather conditions may apply. Worker must be able to obtain a valid US Driver's License within 2 weeks of reporting to work and possess/maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). Bonus potential based on work performance at the sole discretion of the employer. Employees are expected to keep employer-provided vehicles clean and free of trash.
