- Job Duties:
- Temporary seasonal workers needed for crawfish and rice seasons. Job duties include crawfishing in boats; catching crawfish; performing crawfishing duties in fields; manually cutting up of fish bait; baiting and checking traps; grading and washing crawfish for shipment; make repairs to traps as needed; cleaning, spraying, picking up, and putting out crawfish traps as needed; equipment and truck driving; field preparation; water maintenance; plant and harvest crops; manual shovel work; hoe weeds; spot spray; repair and maintain bins, equipment, and fences; maintain levees, roads, and shop; load and unload trucks into grain bins; level as needed; operate farm equipment; job involves frequent stooping, lifting, exposure to extreme temps; valid driver's license required. Worker must have 3 months experience in similar position. Base hours offered is 40 hours offered; overtime hours are usually offered during plentiful season and may include an additional 10-40 hours of overtime work depending on the nature of the season; higher wage may be paid based on experience. Daily work schedule includes 1 unpaid lunch hour. Se necesitan temporeros para las temporadas de langosta y arroz. El trabajador debe tener 3 meses de experiencia en un puesto similar. El horario base ofrecido es de 40 horas; se suelen ofrecer horas extra durante la temporada de abundancia y pueden incluir entre 10 y 40 horas adicionales de trabajo extra en función de la naturaleza de la temporada; se puede pagar un salario más alto en función de la experiencia. El horario de trabajo diario incluye 1 hora de almuerzo no remunerada.
