Job Duties:

Farmworker needed for crawfish season followed by rice season. Work includes tractor driving, field prep, water maintenance, fertilizing, planting, and harvesting crops. Field prep includes operating farm equipment, manual shovel work, hoeing of weeds, spot spray and general farm labor. Help repair and maintain buildings, equipment, farm, fences, field, levees, ponds, property, roads, and shop. Load and unload. May operate motorized crawfish boat and/or walk/push boat. Crawfishing involves manually cutting of fish bait, setting traps, baiting traps, checking traps, and water maintenance. Will need to grade, wash, sack, and ice crawfish for shipment. Also required to make and repair traps as needed

Special Requirements:

Operation of farm equipment such as crawfish boats to harvest crawfish and tractors to prepare fields and levees. The workers may be required to take random, post-accident, and/or upon suspicion drug test POST HIRE AND AT THE EXPENSE OF EMPLOYER. Testing positive may result in immediate termination from employment. It is important to the Employer that employees remain drug free while working and operating farm equipment as past of this farming operation.
