Job Duties:

Perform the following duties in a greenhouse: Transplanting/potting, watering, general plant care (i.e. pruning, staking, trellising) of flowers, edibles (i.e. vegetables) and other plants (trees, shrubs). Includes loading soil into tray filler machine; transporting trays via carrying or pushing a cart full of trays to other location; loading and unloading trays/baskets from floor onto carts to transport; labeling pots, placing pots/tray packs into trays; watering plants according to their moisture needs; loading and unloading carts onto trucks/trailers for shipping. Organization of supplies such as pots, planters, tray, soil, etc. Application of fertilizer/ fungicides/ pesticides through drench or spray. General cleaning, trash removal, snow removal, and grounds care (i.e. weed eating, spraying cleanup) Drive to town to pick up greenhouse supplies. Property maintenance and/or repair of greenhouse structure and/or equipment. Maintenance of greenhouse properties including lawns, flower beds, trees, fences, weeding, watering, removing debris/trash. Maintenance of buildings includes repair/replacement of roof plastics. Maintenance and assembly of equipment includes sprayers, shopping carts, shipping carts, drip systems, etc.
