- Job Duties:
- Driver/Laborer will conduct simple daily pre-trip vehicle maintenance checks, pick up workers from employer-provided housing, take them to worksite and drive them back to their housing. They will spend less than half of their workday doing these job duties. Other daily regular duties may include field walking, scanning fruit, loading and unloading, installation/maintenance of drip tape irrigation, pruning, cutting/trimming, weeding, pulling plastic/drip-tape, planting, and general farm labor. They will spend the majority of their work day performing this type of labor. They are required to live in the housing provided by employer and take workers once a week to the grocery store and to the laundry mat. Must have or be able to obtain immediately a farm labor contractor employee certificate of registration. Background check and random drug testing will be post-hire at employer's expense. Any driver employed under this job order must have a valid state and federal Farm Labor Contractor Certificate of Registration and must abide by all the requirements of the Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act (MSPA). The employer understands that they are responsible for assuring that all conditions of this agreement are met regardless of any acts or omissions of the crew leader.
