Job Duties:

We have a row crop farming operation consisting of 4,000 acres. We grow corn, soybeans, rice, and occasionally cotton. 1,000 acres are furrow irrigation and requires poly pipe. Employees will need to assist with planting, disking, spraying, fertilizing, irrigating, harvesting, and hauling crops from fields to storage. Employees will need to operate John Deere equipment. Job requires long hours during planting and harvesting seasons. Employees will needd to complete routine maintenance and repairs to fences, pastures and equipment. Employees will need to cut and bale hay. Employees will be required to haul harvested crops to grain facilities in semi-trucks. No commercial operations. Employees will be required to assist with any other agriculture related duties assigned by management. Per state regulations, employer is exempt from a commercial CDL requirement for farm trucking. No commercial or heavy truck driving is required. Employer may also, at its sole discretion, offer performance-based incentive bonuses that are not guaranteed and are determined by the employer. Workers returning for a consecutive season will be paid at their previous season’s rate if that rate exceeds the current published rate.

Special Requirements:

Job requires extensive sitting, pushing, pulling, walking, repetitive movements, frequent stooping and exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures. Employer will conduct post-hire drug testing at no cost to the employee to enforce a drug free workplace policy. Failing a drug test will result in termination. Employer will conduct post-hire criminal background checks at no cost to the employee and will not hire anyone with a violent or theft criminal background. Must be able to obtain a regular driver's license. Require 3 months equipment operation experience.
