- Job Duties:
- AEWR; US Workers: TX: $11.81; H2A Workers: TX: $9.97. Worker will perform duties in relation to SOC 45-2091 Equipment Operator, job duties will include tasks such as: Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions. Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery. operate or tend equipment used in agricultural production, such as tractors, combines, and irrigation equipment. Adjust and replace parts as needed on farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions. Operate towed machines such as brush-beaters, mowers, spreaders and other equipment to cut and fertilize grass to encourage sod development and root growth. Set up and operate irrigation equipment. Irrigate soil, using irrigation pivots, portable pipes or ditch systems, and maintain ditches or pipes and pumps. Identify plants, pests, and weeds to determine the selection and application of pesticides and fertilizers. Operate equipment to keep fields clear of brush, debris, rocks and other undesirable plants.

- Be able to work in extreme conditions such as heat, humidity, wind, cold. Lift and carry supplies. Follow instructions. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license within 30 days following hire and obtain clean driving record to be able to operate company vehicle. Lift up to 15 lbs.
