- Job Duties:
- Workers will perform general winter-related maintenance during the winter months on the farming sites. Workers will be expected to remove snow from farm site and roads, as well as performing maintenance on tractors for snow removal during the winter months. Workers will be expected to use and operate a truck with a snow blade and a sander, as well as driving a tractor mounted snow-blower and will use shovels for snow removal. Workers will be expected to perform maintenance on said equipment. Furthermore, workers will assist with carrying, situating, running, fueling, and maintaining generators that can provide electricity during severe snowstorms. Workers will assist in the grinding of dry compost to prepare it for fields in the Spring. Workers will also assist in livestock care duties, such as tending and feeding. Equipment to be used may include but is not limited to: tractors, trucks, snow blades, snow-blowers, shovels, generators. The job requires working around livestock and the strong smell of manure. - Special Requirements:
- General knowledge of tractor operation and maintenance required in addition to one (1) month of tractor operation and maintenance required. Must be able to lift 75 lbs/75 yards. Regular drivers license or foreign equivalent required. Training can be provided while on the job if needed. Post-employment drug tests are paid for by employer when applicable.
