Job Duties:

Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2091.00, Agricultural Equipment Operators. Duties will include: • Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions. • Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery. • Operate or tend equipment used in agricultural production, such as tractors, planters, harvesters, conveyers, and irrigation equipment. • Adjust, repair, and service farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions. • Attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, planters, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools. • Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects. • Operate farm equipment to troubleshoot issues and ensure that it is ready for use. • Using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes • Servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanical (not electronic) principles. • Operate farming equipment. • Perform safety checks on farm equipment. • Record parts information and inventory of parts used. • Record maintenance being conducted. • Full time supervision is provided and all tools are provided at no cost. Workers must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and work in extreme temperatures. Lifting objects up to 50 lbs., bending, twisting, and stooping regularly will be required.

Special Requirements:

3 months experience performing maintenance on potato related agriculture equipment and operating this equipment within the past 2 years. A standard drivers license, or ability to obtain one immediately upon hire is required. Hours of work will be offered above 40 hours per week, but is on a voluntary basis. Work schedules may fluctuate relative to weather conditions, field conditions, and crop conditions. Work will be offered on weekends and holidays. Work hours may fluctuate due to production schedules. Employees must be able to perform the duties and meet the physical requirements of the job for the duration of the contract.
