Job Duties:
We need seasonal employees to assist with our corn, wheat, and sorghum farming operation. Employees will prepare fields for planting and attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors using bolts and hand tools. They will operate tractors, planters, sprayers, seed drills, manure spreaders, combines, irrigation equipment, and other farm machinery. Job duties include planting, weeding, spraying, cultivating, and harvesting crops. Employees will fertilize and spray crops, applying fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungus, weeds, and diseases using hand sprayers. They will also install, maintain, and repair pivot irrigation systems. Employees must manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust equipment mechanisms, observe and listen to machinery during operation to detect malfunctions, and drive farm semi-trucks to haul crops, supplies, and tools. Additional duties include inspecting, adjusting, and completing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, performing maintenance and repairs on irrigation systems, and recording agricultural data as required. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Employer may also, at its sole discretion, offer performance-based incentive bonuses that are not guaranteed and are determined by the employer.
