Job Duties:

Employee will drive employer-provided non-CDL 26-foot box delivery trucks (trucks with a capacity of less than 26,001 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW)). All delivery drivers will be able to return to their residence or employer-provided housing within the same work day. Load delivery trucks with rolling racks of plants grown and harvested/propagated at and by Spring Creek Growers. Adjust plant racks in preparation of delivery. Drive nursery plants/agricultural products from nursery to market. Deliveries are made within a workday period. Unload Spring Creek Growers' empty racks to the office in Waller, TX and complete paperwork at the end of the shift.

Special Requirements:

3 months experience as a light truck delivery driver. Must be able to read, write and understand work instructions in English or Spanish. A valid Texas Class C drivers license, or the ability to obtain a valid Texas Class C drivers license within 30 days of start of employment, is required in order to drive on public roads. Employer requires all-newly hired employees to take and pass an employer-paid background check due to operation of equipment. All background checks are conducted uniformly after an initial job offer has been extended and accepted by the new hire. Workers are not permitted to be under the influence of intoxicants of any kind during working hours .All new employees are subject to a post-hire, employer-paid drug test. Employer also reserves the right to conduct employer-paid random, upon suspicion, and/or post-accident drug testing in accordance with state law. Any employee who declines to take or fails a drug test will be immediately terminated.
