Job Duties:

Drive and control equipment to support agricultural activities such as tilling soil; planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with Greenstar GPS) such as combine, planter, sprayer, cotton harvester, grain cart, tillage tool, etc. to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as wheat, rice, corn, cotton, soybeans; Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions; Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on field bound machinery; Mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; Irrigate soil using portable poly pipe or center pivot systems, and maintain systems; Load agricultural products onto truck without overfilling bed or trailer and drive to market, storage facilities, or field; Spray fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungus and weed growth, and diseases; Attach farm implements using bolts and hand tools; Operate towed machines such as seed drills or spreaders to plant, fertilize, dust, and spray crops; Load and unload crops or containers of materials using conveyors, forklifts, or transfer augers.

Special Requirements:

Two (2) months of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
