Job Description

- Job Duties:
- Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment as well as farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Inform farm managers of crop progress; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as triticale, silage, corn, sorghum, hay; Load agricultural products without over or underfilling bed or trailer, and drive to market or storage facilities; Drive truck with belt trailer for hauling manure and silage to and from piles and field corners/edges; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Attend to live farm animals including cattle; Feed and water livestock; Assist in birth deliveries; Provide medical treatment such as administering medications and vaccinations; Mark livestock to identify ownership using tags.

- Special Requirements:
- Two (2) months of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
