Job Duties:

Crops: Watermelons, Broccoli, Cabbages, Cantaloupes, Carrots, Cauliflower, Pumpkins Fieldwork and Irrigation: Manually plant, cultivate, and harvest vegetables, fruits, nuts, horticultural specialties, and field crops. Use hand tools, such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, and knives. Duties may include tilling soil and applying fertilizers; transplanting, weeding, thinning, or pruning crops; applying pesticides; or cleaning, grading, sorting, packing, in-field transporting and loading harvested products. May construct trellises, repair fences and farm buildings, or participate in irrigation activities. Maintain work locations and equipment and sites where required. Workers with proper licensure may be asked to transport other farm workers. Agricultural Equipment Operator: Drive and control equipment to support agricultural activities such as tilling soil; planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops. May operate computer programs to operate machinery or to track inventory. May perform post-harvest tasks such as husking, shelling, threshing, and ginning. Maintain work locations and equipment and sites where required. Minor mechanical maintenance if required. Workers who possess a valid driver’s license and meet all applicable legal requirements, including holding a doctor’s certificate as required by 29 CFR § 500.105, may be asked to drive vehicles for transporting workers, goods, or commodities on company business. This task is voluntary, compensable, and not a mandatory job duty. Workers without a valid driver’s license or doctor’s certificate will still be fully eligible for employment and are not disqualified from any other job responsibilities outlined in this application. The employer can and will make alternative arrangements for the transportation of workers should the need arise.

Special Requirements:

Must have 2 months verifiable experience in farm work. Applicants must furnish verifiable job references or comparable third-party documentation from recent employers to establish acceptable prior experience. This requirement will be applied equally to all new foreign and domestic candidates. Workers must have a valid, insurable drivers license or be eligible to apply for the same at no cost to the worker. Employer reserves the right to conduct employer-paid post-hire drug testing upon suspicion and post-accident in accordance with state law. Any employee who declines to take or fails a drug test will be immediately terminated.
