Job Duties:

Workers will prune apple trees using hand pruners, hand saws and also climbing a ladder. May have to install/repair and build trellis for newly planted apple trees. Workers will be planting and training apple trees. May have to hand thin apples by use of thinning shears. Workers may have to hand graft apple trees. May have to clear land of rocks and debris. Workers may be planting strawberry plants. May be required to install and move irrigation equipment. May be required to hand cultivate pumpkin and strawberry fields. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time in adverse weather conditions, use sharp instruments, hand tools and ladder work. May be required to clean and sanitize harvest bins. Workers will be subject to drug screening upon accident, incident or suspicion, failure or refusal of a drug screen is grounds for immediate termination. Drug screens will be at the expense of the employer.
