Job Duties:
We are an irrigated and dryland farm that grows cotton, corn, sorghum, seed sorghum, wheat and mixed cover crops. We need employees to assist the farm with the operation of tractors, planters, sprayers, harvesters and other farm equipment to plow, spray, hoe fields of cotton, corn, wheat and sorghum. Employees must have general knowledge of the operation of large agricultural equipment. Employees will need to do general farm duties, routine maintenance, assist in repairs on equipment. Employees will complete other routine related farm duties to assist on the farm. Must be familiar with hydraulic and electrical trouble shooting. Employees will diagnose, service and repair irrigation systems. Also, employees will help maintain cleanliness and general upkeep around farm locations. Job duties will include: clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping, harvest plants, and transplant or pot and label them, inform farmers or farm managers of crop progress, operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops. Employer may, at its sole discretion, provide pay increases based on longevity or experience. Employer may also, at its sole discretion, offer performance-based incentive bonuses that are not guaranteed and are determined by the employer.
