Job Duties:
Job requires the operation of various tractors and farm equipment to till soil; work ground; prepare and maintain land; and plant, fertilize, spray, cultivate, harvest, and transport crops to elevator or storage area. Equipment that workers may be required to operate includes, but is not limited to, tractors with various implements, sprayers, combines, back-hoes, farm trucks pulling water tanks and diesel tanks, cotton pickers, mowers, track-hoes, and ATVs/side by sides. Non-CDL farm trucks will be loaded with agricultural products and driven on the farm and to storage facilities. Manual duties include loading seed into planters; properly mixing chemicals; loading chemicals into sprayers; changing combine cutting heads; welding; removing rocks from fields; performing general maintenance, repairs and/or clean-up of storage sheds, pivot points, buildings, barns and all farm equipment; ensuring operational areas are organized and well maintained; using hand tools and equipment to repair, clean and maintain farm vehicles, machinery and specialized machinery and agricultural equipment; regularly servicing equipment; cleaning equipment, shops, and structures; mowing and landscaping on the farm; and lifting items as needed. Duties also include receiving crop for drying and storage at grain storage facility; disposing of spoiled grain; transporting grain from fields to grain bins; loading and unloading grain into trucks while keeping grain level; operating augers and grain conveying equipment; monitoring grain moisture levels; preparing scale tickets; and shoveling grain. Employees will be tending to livestock in the forms of feeding, examining, tagging, vaccinating, and herding; installing pasture borders; conducting the repair and maintenance of farm equipment and property borders; regularly cleaning and servicing equipment, mixing feed, lifting bags of mineral, and spraying cattle for flies and other pests. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and/or locations often and engage in various general functions. Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions. The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer.

Special Requirements:
Job requires having or being able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Basic English literacy skills are required. Employees will lift seed bags that weigh 50 pounds. Job will require workers performing duties outdoors during times when temperatures may exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Employees will be driving tractors for extended hours during planting and harvest which requires extensive sitting. Random criminal background checks may occur post-hire at the employers expense. These checks may be performed to ensure a safe housing and work environment for all workers.
