Job Duties:
On farms, unload materials, and lay out lumber, tin sheets, trusses, and other components for building poultry confinement structures. Apply caulking compounds by hand or caulking gun to protect against entry of water or air. Apply weather stripping to reduce energy loss. Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards. Erect or dismantle scaffolding. Build walls and erect trusses. Lift tin sheets to roof and install doors. Install piping. Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools, distributing them to appropriate location on worksite. Measure, mark, or record openings or distances to layout areas where construction work is performed. Mix, pour, or spread concrete. Position or dismantle forms for pouring concrete using saws, hammers, nails, or bolts. Operate small hand and power tools.
