- Job Duties:
- Temporary, seasonal workers needed for crawfish season. Duties include crawfishing in boats, catching crawfish, performing crawfishing duties in fields, manually cutting up of bait, placing and checking traps; run and fuel boats; pull levees up; prepare fields; drive tractor; maintain equipment; repair traps. Must be able to lift/carry sufficient weight (approximately 50 pounds) to move equipment and material necessary to complete assigned tasks. The Employer will rely on workers own representations and observations of workers to assess if the workers meet this qualification. Random drug testing upon hire (paid for by employer); driver's license required; job involves frequent stooping, lifting, standing for extended periods of time, exposure to extreme temps; must have three months experience in similar position. Base hours offered is 40 hours offered; overtime hours are usually offered during plentiful season and may include an additional 10-40 hours of overtime work depending on the nature of the season; higher wage may be paid based on experience. Daily work schedule includes 1 unpaid lunch hour. Se necesitan trabajadores temporales para la temporada de langosta.
