Job Duties:
Delivery driving: Bonnie Plants will pay atleast $22/hour to workers performing theduties of delivery truck drivers, including thedriving, fueling, and maintaining 26' straighttruck with a capacity of less than 26,001pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), fordelivery of agricultural products from BonniePlants to market within a 180 mile radius ofthe primary worksite; Pre- and post- triptruck inspections which include checking tirepressure, fl uids, and fuel; Reporting vehicleissues immediately to the Station Manager;Performing minor maintenance and repair onthe delivery truck to ensure safe operation;adhering to DOT regulations includingcompleting logs and complying with Hours ofService; "shuttle driving" which is driving aproduct-loaded truck to a predeterminedmeeting destination to exchange trucks,switching a full truck with an empty truck, and driving the empty truck back to thegreenhouse; Maneuvering of 100 – 460 lbrolling carts within truck loading/unloadingarea on uneven surfaces and via lift gateOUTSIDE the greenhouse; Loading/unloadingof rolling carts from greenhouse loading areato truck via docking bay and lift gate;Loading of plants onto delivery trucks;Loading/Unloading to and from racks atmarket locations; Evaluating moisturecontent of plant loads in trucks and wateringplants that are ready for delivery, whennecessary; Identifying plants that are not upto Bonnie’s quality standards (based on sizeand health) and eliminating them from racksto be replaced with new products; Properlydisposing of removed plants as required byBonnie's best management practices;Properly stacking trays for reuse; Completingpreseason equipment, including painting andbuilding racks, racks and display preparationand end of season teardown.

Special Requirements:
2 months of greenhouse or nursery experience. Workers must meet the requirements of Bonnies insurance carrier to perform delivery driver duties, which requires a valid drivers license issued by any U.S.state or a valid U.S. commercial drivers license (CDL) or its acceptable international equivalent (CDL accepted but not required)and proficiency in English to communicate, read and comprehend traffic sign age, and interact with roadway officials to work as a delivery driver. Other qualifications required by insurance carrier include being at least 21years of age, and having at least 3 years of driving experience. Drug and alcohol testing is conducted post-hire at the employer's expense and is not part of the interview process.
