Job Duties:
Mowing Operator: Operating 100 HP tractors (Kubota, John Deere) pulling 26 ft, 22ft, 15ft, 30ft mowers designed to mow turfgrasses like Bermuda, Centipede, St Augustine, Zoysia. Work done on the sod farm. Workers need to be physically fit to change the heights of the mower from grass to grass. Workers will perform routine maintenance, clean, and change the height of the mower. Harvest Turfgrass: Harvest turfgrass using machines like the Robomax JD sod cutter, Magnum SR big roll sod cutter, and manual slab machine. All work done on the sod farm. 95% of our sod harvesting with automated machines so not labor intensive. Should be fit enough to maintain and grease the machines. Deliver Turfgrass: Workers will drive farm vehicles, including freightliner trucks and pick-up trucks, to deliver grass/sod from field back to our shop, close by developments, and transport sod planting material from field to field. Workers will also operate forklifts for movement of agricultural products on the farm. No CDL required. Basic Maintenance Work: Routine maintenance work like inventory, greasing, and maintaining equipment sod farm equipment (no heavy mechanic work). Shop Laborer: On days where weather does not permit field work, maintain farm grounds and perform routine maintenance on the farm. Check irrigation ditches and dig small ditches/clear debris when a trench is stopped up. Clean up breakroom and company bathroom, including sweeping and routine cleaning.

3 months experience in operating agricultural equipment. Worker must be physically capable of climbing in and out of tractors, lifting up to 50-pound bags of seed when needed, and walking up to a mile if required.
