Forage: Duties will include, but are not limited to: Land preparation, operating tillage equipment, cutting equipment. Take
the hay bales to the storage barns/barns of farms that purchase the hay. Row Crops: Perform variety of other duties such
as husking and shelling corn, lubricating and repairing farm machinery and unloading grain onto conveyors to storage bins
and elevators. Loading/unloading grain trucks, transfers grain through elevator grain system, clean out grain bins, elevator
repair, unloads grain onto conveyors for storage in bins, operate machinery for cleaning of grain, cleaning grain bins,
building and ground repairs, operate small to medium tractors, drive trucks, transferring grain to another clean bin, and
maintenance on grain bins. Haul grain to facility with no CDL required. Operate equipment with guidance positioning
system. Workers must be able to climb high heights. Alternative Work: General farm maintenance and other duties as
necessary in maintaining farming operation. Includes, but not limited to, preparing barns, draining fields, preparing soil for
planting, maintenance of implements & equipment & other work as directly related to the harvest activities for which the
worker is employed. Also include fixing and emptying and painting of fence/barns. Participating in livestock operations
duties may include, but not limited to, feeding, participating in calving, tagging, vaccinations, movement from pen to pen,
and sorting. Such work will be offered when weather or harvest conditions prevent work in the primary activities listed
above. General Conditions: If work is available beyond normal workdays, employer may offer, but not require, worker an
opportunity to work additional hours. Workers will report to work at designated time and place as directed by assigned
employer each day. workers may be requested to ten (10) hours per day depending on conditions in fields and the
maturity of the crops. Also, workers may be requested to work on federal holidays and their Sabbath but will not be
required. Workers may volunteer to work additional hours when work is available. Downtime: Workers should expect
occasional periods of little or no work because of weather, crop or other conditions beyond the employer’s control. These
periods can occur any time throughout the season. Worker may be required to work in fields when crops are wet with dew
/ rain and should have suitable clothing for conditions which include light rain and temperatures ranging from 10 degrees
to more than 100 degrees. Workers should be able to stand, bend, stoop and work for prolonged periods of time and be
physically fit to perform duties as assigned. Care must always be exercised with any use of equipment.
