Job Duties:

Prepare fields for row crops: pumpkin,tomatoes, peppers and corn. Plant, fertilize, weed, spray, water, maintain irrigation for crops, harvest and load crops on trucks, transport to barn, seed for next crop. Install wildlife netting to prevent destruction. Potting, seeding, staking and watering of plants and flowers, weeding, pruning, fertilizing and spraying, planting in ground using field equipment. Cutting, tethering, raking, bailing hay, loading and storing hay in barns. Bushhogging overgrown fields and pasture. Perform a variety of other duties such as lubricating and repairing farm machinery. maintain fences, barn and outbuildings. Work in extreme weather heat or cold for longs hours. Work hours and days may vary weather permitting; too much rain may cause work stoppage or delays as the ground becomes too wet.
