Job Duties:

Planting, weeding with long handled shovels, and harvesting forage hay crops and olives. General ranch maintenance of farm animal's pens/corrals/stales, and general animal husbandry. Production of hay crop job duties include, moving sprinkler pipe, irrigation, the moving and stacking of hay. General animal husbandry of cows and horses, job duties include feeding, cleaning stalls, moving, and sorting. Other work activities include general ranch maintenance and repairs. Tools that will be used are shovels, hoes, rakes, blowers, fence tools, weed whackers, ATVs, and tractors. -Planting: Use of a tractor grain planter to plant seeds on open ground. -Weeding: Workers will use long-handled shovels to remove unwanted weeds from forest fields and around the ranch property. -Forage Hay Harvesting: With the aid of a tractor and hay cutter, workers will cut and bale hay crops when they are ready for harvest. -Olive Harvesting: Olives will be harvested using a long-handled harvesting rake. Loose olives will then be collected and placed into large bins. -General Ranch Maintenance: This includes maintaining the pens, corrals, and stalls for farm animals, including the removal of manure, removal of used bedding, and placement of new bedding in animal stalls. -Animal Husbandry: Consists of feeding and watering animals on a daily basis.
