Job Description

- Job Duties:
- Workers will operate farm machinery and equipment to support the full crop production cycle on a commercial grain farm producing wheat, barley, corn, pinto beans, soybeans, and hay. Duties include preparing, inspecting, and maintaining equipment; operating tractors, sprayers, seeders, and combines; applying fertilizers; planting crops; monitoring field conditions; harvesting and transporting grain; and cleaning and storing equipment post-season. Work begins mid-March with machinery prep and runs through late November, requiring flexibility and long hours based on weather. All crops must be seeded by June 10 to ensure adequate growing time, and harvest starts in early August, with grain harvested daily when conditions allow. Workers must be able to lift up to 60 lbs., have a valid driver’s license, and operate farm equipment safely. No formal education required; agricultural experience required.

- Minimum of 3 months experience is required. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. Operator License Class D Candidate will have 60 days to obtain. Skill Level II Experienced Level Pursuant to the Interim Final Rule (IFR) implementing the new four-level wage system for H-2A occupations, the employer designates this position as Skill Level II Experienced Level, indicating that the job requires prior related experience, independent judgment in performing recurring tasks, and the ability to work with limited supervision. The employer reserves the right to withhold the applicable housing deduction as permitted under program regulations, when approved and disclosed in the job order.
