Job Duties:

Workers will be required to perform duties associated with seasonal grain crop farming at a Level II (Experienced) skill level. This includes the operation of farm machinery such as tractors, sprayers, and harvest equipment throughout all key farming seasons—spring, summer, and fall. In the spring, workers will prepare fields and plant crops; during the summer, they will monitor and tend to crops, including tasks such as equipment operation, spraying, and crop care; and in the fall, workers will harvest crops and assist with preparing equipment for winter storage. Workers may also be required to perform minor maintenance on machinery to ensure efficient operation. The nature of this job is dependent on weather conditions, which can vary and influence daily tasks and hours. Due to the hazards and skill level involved in operating farm machinery, all workers must have a minimum of 12 months of experience. This ensures the safety and efficiency of operations.

Special Requirements:

Minimum of 12 months experience is required. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. Operator License Class D Candidate will have 60 days to obtain. Skill Level II Experienced Level Pursuant to the Interim Final Rule (IFR) implementing the new four-level wage system for H-2A occupations, the employer designates this position as Skill Level II Experienced Level, indicating that the job requires prior related experience, independent judgment in performing recurring tasks, and the ability to work with limited supervision. The employer reserves the right to withhold the applicable housing deduction as permitted under program regulations, when approved and disclosed in the job order.
