Job Description

- Job Duties:
- Workers will assist in all aspects of grain farm operations over approximately 9,000 acres of wheat, barley, canola, field peas, and soybeans. In spring, tasks include preparing equipment and land, performing maintenance on tractors and implements, applying fertilizer, planting crops, and spraying pre-plant chemicals. Summer duties include crop monitoring, spraying as needed, mowing ditches and yards, cleaning grain bins, and preparing for harvest. During fall harvest, workers will conduct daily equipment maintenance and operate combines, grain carts, and semis to haul grain to storage or elevators. Post-harvest responsibilities include land preparation for the next season and thorough equipment cleanup and storage. Hauling grain may be required at any point during the season. Workers must be self-motivated, capable of identifying tasks independently, and have experience operating and servicing farm machinery, including semis.

- Minimum of 3 months experience is required. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. Operator License Class D Candidate will have 60 days to obtain.
