Job Description

- Job Duties:
- Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2092 Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, and Greenhouse such as: Operate rock picker and remove rocks; Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops including sweeping and cleaning bins; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and primarily Case IH self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with Trimble GPS) to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as sunflowers, wheat, canola, soybeans, corn; Load inputs and drive trucks to transport to employer’s fields, load employer’s crops and drive trucks to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags in close proximity to the farm; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Regulate conditions; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Attach implements using hand tools; speak and understand English.

- Special Requirements:
- Two (2) months of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
