Job Duties:

Crops: Assorted vegetables including but not limited to peas, tomatoes, peppers, parsnips and squash. Manually plant, cultivate and harvest row crops. Use hand tools such as shovels, long-handled hoes, hand shearers, harvest knives. Duties include weeding, applying fertilizers, transplanting, thinning, cleaning fields, crops and loading harvested crops. May assemble trellises, repair hoop houses and participate in irrigation and pesticide application activities. Instruction, training and general supervision will be provided by designated and/or permitted Tutti Frutti Farm employees. Employer abides by 8. Cal. Code Regulations Section 3437, 3456(b-c). However, the worker must perform required duties without close supervision and listen to, understand and follow instructions or be open and willing to ask for assistance and/or clarifications. Workers will be expected to comply with all provisions of this Clearance Order and the Company’s work rules, policies and procedures, and to perform any and all assigned tasks in a work-person-like and efficient manner. Failure to do so will subject the worker to the employer’s disciplinary procedures. The employer endeavors to produce a premium product. This is a demanding, competitive business. A high-quality product is expected and demanded by our customers. Sloppy or improper work cannot and will not be tolerated. Workers able to obtain a state driver's license may be requested to transport other workers, crops and supplies.
