Job Duties:

Perform duties such as: cultivate, plant, fertilize, irrigate, spray, and harvest crops including durum, corn, potatoes, dry beans, rye, soybeans, spring wheat, and sugar beets. Operate and drive farm machinery and vehicles, much of which is equipped with GPS and autosteer systems. Drive and operate self-propelled combines and grain carts. Load and unload commodities into containers, conveyors, grain trucks, and storage facilities including bins, silos, and piles. Perform tillage operations such as plowing, disking, cultivating, and soil preparation. Mix and apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers to crops. Clean grain bins, equipment, and work areas, and maintain grounds and facilities. Load inputs and transport to employer’s fields; load employer’s crops and transport to fields and storage facilities in close proximity to the farm. Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment as well as farm buildings, fences, and other structures. Use cloud-based input and crop tracking applications; maintain invoices and paperwork associated with crop production and equipment; categorize, edit, and reconcile grain tickets. Mix materials and chemicals for planter and sprayer; attach implements using hand tools; use skid steer loaders and yard equipment as needed. May drive farm trucks on-farm and to nearby storage or processing locations. Equipment includes Case IH Precision 3580, Case IH Precision Disk 500, John Deere 1890 Air Seeder Drill, John Deere 1910 Air Seeder Cart, Amity Technology 2700 12R Beet Lifter, Amity Technology R9912 Beet Lifter, Alloway 8f267 Beet Topper, John Deere 790D-LC, Caterpillar D6 CAI, Case IH Tiger Mate 200 Cultivator, Wil-Rich Quad 4 Chisel Plow, Case IH 600 Flex Chisel Plow 50', AG Chem 9203 Terragator 2009, Case IH 4440 2OL8-2077, Case IH 9240, Case IH 620 Quadtrac, Case IH 580 Quadtrac, Case IH 470 Quadtrac, Case IH 280 Quadtrac, tillage equipment, discs, scrapers, loaders, and other machinery as needed. Workers must be able to speak and understand English to communicate safety and operational instructions. Approximate staggered entry: 10 workers to begin March 1 and 2 workers to begin Aug 1.

Special Requirements:

Two (2) months of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
