Job Duties:
Workers will perform agricultural labor in the production of carrots, tomatoes, and green cabbage. Duties include preparing fields by removing debris, tilling soil, applying fertilizers, and assisting with planting, transplanting, thinning, staking, pruning, weeding, and maintaining crop rows. As crops mature, workers will harvest, pick, sort, trim, wash, and box carrots, tomatoes, and green cabbage in preparation for pickup by produce wholesalers. Workers will load and unload harvested produce, stack boxes, and maintain the cleanliness of work areas. Additional duties performed by workers include field sanitation, removing plastic and crop residue, clearing fields after harvest, and preparing soil for replanting or rotation at the end of the season. Workers must follow all safety instructions and work in varying weather conditions. Repetitive bending, lifting, walking, pulling, and carrying up to 50 lbs may be required.

The worker must be willing to work outdoors in open agricultural fields and endure exposure to extreme heat, direct sunlight, wind, rain, and other weather conditions characteristic of the Texas growing season. Workers must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, perform repetitive movements, and engage in extensive walking, standing, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling while performing assigned duties. Workers must follow all safety instructions, work in varying weather conditions, and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the planting, maintenance, and harvesting cycles of carrots, tomatoes, and green cabbage. No minimum education, training, or prior experience is required.
