Job Duties:

Job requires the operation of various tractors and farm equipment to till soil; work ground; prepare and maintain land; and plant, irrigate, cultivate, harvest, and transport crops to elevator or storage area. Employees will also cut, rake, and bale hay. Equipment that workers may be required to operate includes, but is not limited to, tractors with various implements, equipment that utilizes GPS and auto-guidance systems, plows, disk, grain cart, pasture clippers, hay cutters, combines, back-hoes, mowers, and track-hoes. Non-CDL farm trucks will be loaded with agricultural products and driven on the farm and to storage facilities. Loading seed into planters; changing combine cutting heads; rouging fields and using hand tools to remove undesirable plant varieties, trash, and other objects from fields; using hand tools such as a chainsaw, brush ax, post hole digger, rakes, etc.; cleaning debris and limbs from fields as needed; repairing tires; maintaining center pivots; light welding; loading and unloading feed; emptying grain bins; performing general maintenance, repairs and/or clean-up of storage sheds, pivot points, buildings, cattle handling facilities; and all farm equipment; ensuring operational areas are organized and well maintained; using hand tools and equipment to repair, clean and maintain farm vehicles, machinery and specialized machinery and agricultural equipment; regularly servicing equipment; maintaining and building property borders to keep deer out of crops and livestock on location. The job will require workers to do the following tasks: feeding livestock, checking livestock, cleaning pens, penning livestock, assisting with calving in the spring, tagging livestock, vaccinating and worming livestock, and sorting livestock. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and/or locations often and engage in various general functions. Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions. The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer.

Job requires having or being able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Basic English literacy skills are required. Job will require periods when workers may be exposed to varying weather conditions and extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, or walking.
