- Prepare fields for planting. Pick rocks and operate tractors to till the soil. Operate farming equipment in order to plant, spray, fertilize and harvest grain and soybean crops. Load and unload crops. Transport crops to storage facilities. General farm duties such as servicing equipment, facility maintenance and shop work.
